L1169 Memorandum of Agreement has been ratified!

Sisters and Brothers,

Today, Sunday Dec. 11, 2011, the members of CUPE Local 1169 braved winter conditions to ratify an agreement between the Calgary Public Library Board and CUPE Local 1169.

With an excellent turnout, 99% of those in attendance voted in favour of the Memorandum of Agreement, guaranteeing its members an 8.5% increase in wages over three years. And for full-time professional staff a lowering of the minimum number of years worked to achieve five weeks vacation from eighteen (18) to fifteen (15) years.

For more details please contact your union office at 403-228-3522.

In solidarity, Rh'ena Oake, President, Calgary and Cochrane Public Library Workers.
